Required Knowledge:
- Basic knowledge of WordPress and HTML coding
- First-rate editing skills
- Expert knowledge of Associated Press style
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite
- Ability to perform assigned job responsibilities in a timely manner and with minimal supervision
- Excellent written English, including good
spelling and grammar
- Interest in and knowledge of current events,
news, and politics

Position Summary:
The Copy Editor is responsible for reading materials prepared by Reporters and making necessary corrections for style, structure, grammar, comprehension, spelling, clarity and accuracy.

Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Review and edit all articles written by reporters to ensure the highest level of accuracy in reporting and that the tone and context of articles are appropriate
- Ensure that text is well-written and logically structured
- Find appropriate images to go with articles
- Write Eye-Catching Headlines to go with articles
- Correct spelling and grammar
- Ensure the text is in line with the blog and Associated Press style guidelines
- Check that illustrations and captions are correct and consistent with copy
- Adhere to legal requirements for trademarks
and copyrights

Salary Range:
N40,000,00 - N85,000,00 per month.
