I'm about to buy the Xiaomi Note 3 on Aliexpress now but I read some reviews and I saw so many people complaining of not having play store, changing rom or so and also finger print not working.

Please nairalanders has anybody experienced this? What do you think about the phone?

Also the seller said he can help me do all that; please is that advisable?

Nothing to worry about, you can install Playstore on it. Quite a number of tutorials out there to guide you. Are you buying the SD version or MTK version?

I'd rather him send the phone to you untouched. You can follow the guide to install playstore it's quite easy...will post a link soon.
I was going to get the snapdragon version, but 2 thing stopped me, high exchange rate (naira to dollars) and for now SD version is not rootable yet.

Yeah.. I also opted for mtk so I can use Glo BIS. Then please lastly what about changing the Rom ? Cause I saw someone conplaining of finger prints not working and he was adviced to change the rom or so

definitely not advisable.when they install it by themselves they usually mess up d software and it significantly gets slower or filled with malware.absolutely get it untouched

You are about to take the best decision when it comes to mobile phone, I used galaxy s5 before buying redmi note 3 and i love Note 3 More than s5. No problem with the fingerprint, it comes with miui 7.1 pre-installed from sellers from Ali express

Xiaomi note 3 gat no issues whatsoever. Just get the official rom flashed if the seller messed up your rom & you're good to go

But I think I may just go for the Mi4S. It is cheaper and seems to be similar to the Mi5 just that fingerprint sensor is at the rear and screen size is 5inches. To come with Android 6.0 out the box running MIUI 7.

Mehn I just checked those two phones.. Those phones specs bad oo.. But snapdragon is a turn off for me sha.. I wish there will be MTK version
