Last week I was robbed and my laptop stolen, prior to that I had an extrnal drive which I stored my informations and documents on last month it fell and hasn't been working since then but only make a scratcing sound whenever it is plugged to a system. first thing first,do not for any reason format.get icare data recovery software,its easy as abc,if u need more help let me know.remember dont format,and when doing the recovery.recover into hard drive,not the affected one.
