I disagree gracefully with all due respect my friend. Why? To call someone a "black American" isn't offensive. You refer to someone as a "white American" isn't offensive. You have to understand that the West is not like Nigeria, where you can call someone a Yoruba man, a Fulani man, an Igbo man, a Hausa man, a Kanuri man, an Edo man, a Tiv man, an Ijaw man, etc. etc.

In essence, calling someone a white man or a black man (woman for all these aforementioned titles as well), is the equivalent of me calling someone a Hausa man/woman or an Ijaw man/woman, etc. etc. How is that the least bit offensive?

White and black are not racist terms. On U.S. Census, that's how they expect people to fill out what they are if they are white or black.

If let's say a guy from India was asking you about your girlfriend, and what she is physically? How would you describe her? Assuming she was a black or white American.

You are not using racial slurs to describe them, you are using a physical attribute created by Westerners. No one is truly "black" so to say though some Southern Sudanese come close and no one is truly "white" so to say. These words were created by the West.
