It is an established fact that Nigeria ranks very low on the Gender Equality Index, ranking 118 out of 134 countries. There is a gaping difference in the way men and women are treated in Nigeria. Women in Nigeria face serious issues such as domestic violence, sexual abuse, child marriage and many more. A lot of these issues are regarded as the norm by many Nigerians, hence the need to reeducate Nigerians and make them unlearn the poor values they have been taught.
