Biafra, Sincerity, Strategy, Justice and Mechanism.

Sentiment they say is the major obstacle to rationality and sincerity.
The Biafra debacle currently echoing around the airspace in Nigeria and beyond is an issue that requires not only a proper and sincere attention, it is an issue that demands self reflection and decision appraisal.
The killings that unfortunately normally happens during independence protests by MASSOB and IPOB is not only unfortunate, it is heart wrecking and barbaric.
Examining the sincerity of both sides of the conflict will make one weep and mourn what has befallen humanity.
According to the United Nations, people have the undeniable right to self determination. This means that people have the right to determine who they want to live with. The Nigerian government has been tagging Biafra agitators as enemies of the state. Shouldn't we sit down and critically examine the state that is being talked about? The state that Ibos, Yoruba and Hausas sit down together to create or the one our British colonialists deliberately created because of their own selfish and barbaric interest?
Shouldn't we ask ourselves whether the United Nations declaration that affirm that a distinct set of people have the ultimate and undeniable right to self determination exclude the people of South Eastern Nigeria?
The last time I checked, the declaration does not exclude any group of people. It encompasses everybody.
If United Kingdom can give Scotland the chance to take a decision on their future, what stops Nigeria from doing same for Ibos? If the Hausas and Fulani have the right to proclaim Sharia law in their principality, why don't Ibos have the right to determine who they want to live with? Friendship is not by force.
Putting the sincerity of those at the forefront of Biafra agitation to test would show the extent to which some unscrupulous people can go to use the demands of their people to satisfy their own ego and materialism.
While it is an undeniable fact that majority of Ibos are desirous of having Biafra, the sincerity of majority of those they have chosen as their leaders for this noble cause is not only shaky, it is hypocritical.
It is a known knowledge that majority of those leading the battle today are people who ate and dined with the immediate past administration. They were raking in billions while Ibos were dying on several federal roads in the east as a result of death traps that line the expressways in the east.
While I won't like to mention names, I will like my ibo brothers to do a self appraisal on their leaders.
Justice is the virtue of any sane man. The killing of harmless protesters in the east by members of Nigerian armed forces is not only barbaric, it is the height of brutality and criminality. Why would you be opening fire on innocent and peaceful protesters? When did peaceful protests become a criminal act? Isn't peaceful protest a norm associated with sane people? Don't people have the right to express their grievances and make their demands known? The killings should be condemned by all reasonable people.
I read an online statement by the owner of a popular forum where he stated that he is against Biafra because he loves Ibos and won't like them seceding. What a shame! Do you have any right to hold people against their own will?
In terms of strategies, shouldn't Ibos also ask themselves whether they are using the right strategies in the pursuit of their undeniable and righteous claim to self determination? Shouldn't they ask themselves whether the hate speeches against Yorubas by Nnamdi Kanu on Radio Biafra is just and fair to a set of people who were the only one that accommodate the Ibos to a fault? Is it right to allow the tales by moonlight told by some folk legends to allow sentimentality to prevail over your reasoning? How do you win over the Yorubas to your side to counter the. Northern threat? Is it by calling their homeland a "no man's land"? that would make you do that? Is it by calling for the ethnic cleansing of them on Radio Biafra?
The Ibos should examine critically their leaders in this struggle.
With all honesty, majority of those leaders are not worth their words not to talk of putting the aspirations and future of a whole tribe in their hands.
Ibos need to do a thorough assessment of their strategies, are they working? They need to look at the mechanism they are using, will it work?
They need to redefine their goals, do they want Biafra or equal representation in Nigeria like Ohaneze is crying about? Do they want Biafra or equal representation in a Lagos that is not their own? Do they want Biafra or the elevation of all their Ezes in Lagos to same status with the Oba of Lagos?
By not having a clearly defined goal, it makes people to see all Ibos as a a group without direction. Loss of sense direction on their path is their greatest undoing.
Ibos also need to know we are different in culture and tradition. That majority of Yorubas are not coming out to support the present set of Oduduwa agitators is not because we don't believe and aspire for our on independent nation, rather it is because of the fact that we have realised that majority of the present self appointed leaders are self centred. People like Gani Adams, Frederick Fasheun are not our leaders in Yoruba land, they are the leaders of their respective nuclear families. We know our real leaders, they don't fight over pipeline protection contract from a corrupt federal government. Our leaders act and behave like a stable one. How many times have you seen people like RT. General Alani Akinrinade talk and behaved like the corrupt OPC leaders? This are our leaders, we know them, They are the Bishop Gbonigis of this world not those self seeking people.
Ibos need to respect Yorubas for their civility and maturity in handling issues. We don't need to burn the whole Lagos because IBB annulled 93 election, we fight systematically and sensibly. We defeated IBB, we defeated Abacha without resorting to war despite the injustice meted on us. At the end of the day we still have Obasanjo and False contesting against one another in an election that then unfortunately to us produced Obasanjo as the winner, today we are happy that self centred people like Pa Falae didn't emerge as the winner. Kayode Fayemi never called for the ethnic cleansing of Ibos on Radio Kudirat because Ibos were the one IBB used to justify the annulment of the election of MKO. We remembered those who went to court at 8:00Pm in the dark of the night to secure a nonsensical injunction from a judge who was their kinsman. This doesn't mean Kayode Fayemi would call for the ethnic cleansing of the innocent Ibos in Lagos on Radio Kudirat.
We remembered that during the civil war, some people sent war planes to bomb pen cinema yet we were the only ethnic group that returned their properties with rents collected intact to them. All this should point to any sane people that we are just a compassionate group of people. Calling us cowards because we refuse to follow them into an assured disaster is nonsensical. We are not cowards. We are the people that fought a civil war for over hundred years. We don't use wrestling competitions to settle land disputes. We are brave but tactical and calculative in our approach. We don't start a war with Aba made hunter guns and self awarded superiority. We are not cowards, we are the one that stood gidigba in Lagos when some people ran back to their enclave in the of a phantom yam festival during the June 12 crises.
We are not cowards, we are the one that owns Lagos and will continue to till eternity.
Respect our tradition and you will live in peace with us though according to our terms.
We don't engage the Obi of Onitsha in supremacy battle in Onitsha like some people did in Ondo and got their fingers burnt with thorough flogging from reawakened Yoruba youths. We don't go to Owerri to start shouting no man's land. We are brave.
We are brave that was why we stopped the idiocy of somebody at Ore.
We are angry at your manners and actions not your name. Stop the arrogant approach to engaging us because it won't get you anywhere.
People keep shouting to keep Nigeria one is a must because of their selfish interests.
Deep inside us we know you have the right to self determination. But deep inside you do you think Lagos is a no mans land?
Don't let us deceive ourselves. The sincerity is not their on the Nigerian government and Biafra leaders sides.
For calling for the ethnic cleansing of Yorubas on Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu has not only shown he is incapable of leading a noble and great cause like an independence agitation, he has shown that he is mad man and criminal that should be confined to kirikiri for the rest of his miserable life. We are less concerned whether he makes it out of the present dungeon he is. None of our own business. Good luck to him.
Conclusively, I will advice the Ibos to reappraise their sincerity when it comes to relationship with Yoruba, change their leaders, their strategies, their mechanism and redefine their goals.
This are your greatest undoings.

The Sentimentality is unfair. The strategies are wrong. The Injustice is too much.

Stop being a clog in the wheel of our progress in the pursuit of biafra. If we get biafra you can do whatever you want with your land I.e lagos. Nnamdi did a hate speech so also did oba akiolu, adamu ciroma and buhari but nobody is calling for their head.
Yorubas chant 'one nigeria' but they are only in it because of igbos . The moment biafra realization begins to come true then you'll see them start agitating for odua nation. What other word would you use to describe hypocrisy.
You say you are wise and calculative because you hide behind a strong man to insult another strong man while they fight eachother. That's not wisdom that's cowardice

What makes think you can tell Easterners the leaders they should choose for themselves. You condemned Gani and Fasehun, calling them greedy while the criminal at bourdillon is buying the whole of lagos for himself and his future generation while our agbero brothers find it difficult to feed. Nnamdi kanu only disparaged we yorubas because of the role we played in killing their people, a role which has now come to haunt the yoruba nation. He disparaged pastors like kumuyi and co, who collect tithes from christians who are majority easterner in Nigeria but will never speak out against injustice. Prophets in the bible spoke out against tyrannical kings and injustice, do yoruba pastors do the same apart from being sycophantic and allying with any government in power like Adeboye (AGIP)?

Pastor Bosun who spoke about Islamization of Nigeria by Apc was commended on Radio Biaf**ria, but got attacked by yorubas, his own brothers. Is Nigeria not part of Saudi/Salafi islamic coalition called ISMAD or whatever today?

You are the hypocritical one, who Igbos choose as their leader is none of your business, your placenta is not tied to the east in anyway, they don't determine who leads you, so why should you be allowed to determine who leads them and who they follow?
Your condemnation of shooting of unarmed protesters is not sincere, it is just a "smokescreen". You only used it as a cover up for your disparaging attacks on the east, who don't really give a damn what you think. It is the hallmark of "double-faceism", which people accuse the yorubas of, and rightly so.

You answer Oduduwa, are you interested in staying in this "one nigeria" while the hausa burn yorubas at ketu and islamize the country? or do you want 'One nigeria" because the east hates it, even though you are not gaining much from it and will be better outside "one Nigeria'? This is a salient question you didn't answer in your crappy write-up. Typical of my yoruba people.

Why are you hiding your hypocrisy in-between words by instigating rebellion against IPOB leadership using advance subtlety?

Why does Yoruba people want Biafra to fail so much? I opened a thread about this and got banned.

You complain that Igbos are your problem, yet you can't let them go. Most of the anti Biafra media propaganda is led by them.

I wish white men would just use nuclear weapon to wipe out the useless black race. We are our worst enemies and they know it.

We kill each other in order to protect their racist legacy. A racist white man ask his girlfriend to name you after drawing a line on the map.

I took some time to digest the content of the epistle by listing the keywords used and analyzing them one after another.

After careful and in-depth analysis, I saw that this publication is not even a friendly fire rather a calculated assault on the actualization of Biafran Dream.

Enough of posts like this, it doesn't work.

Action is what we need, not necessarily violent though. We can suffocate whoever we want economically in Lagos we can make it less attractive by first banning Okada, that would drive many Hausa and nigeriens away. Yoruba should start patronizing only Yoruba okada now. Increase property taxes by 50% and then refund yoruba through income tax home state government at the end of every year, it is called 'indigenous tax exemption'. Or just go by names and Baale, if they have proof that they are Yoruba. So many ideas that will make even the dead know who owns Lagos.

Ycat the reason why I am asking you this is that I have seen so many Yorubas on this forum with the sme moniker go on one thread and say" I have no problem with Biafra, they can leave" then the same people will go on a different thread and say " kill all this Ipob bastards and hang Nnamdi Kanu".

Now those are two different things.

I can support you to get biafra, and still say something like you just said on a thread where Yoruba are being bashed.

I understand but you have to realize that the average person with no bias sees it as hypocritical. That's all I am saying.

None of those has anything to do with their support for biafra.

The oba felt disrespected and did what oba does. Ariyo didn't ask for genocide on igbos. He said something like, "the same reason they were killed in south Africa is happening in Lagos now, and if they are killed". I'm sure it was when he saw the way the Oba was being slammed by your people.

We had no reason to believe that Buhari was behind the killings. And we had no choice than to vote for Buhari when Gej marginalised the SW and didn't perform. It was a case of choosing the lesser of two evils.

But oba of Lagos threatened Igbos to be killed in lagoon

Dr. Ariyo in America asked for genocide on Igbo

Even Buhari was voted for massively in Sw even though both Yoruba and Igbo youth corpers were killed in 2011 after his threat.

So is safe to say you support Nnamdi Kanu and Ipob? Yes or No?

A resounding yes. You can deduce that from his posts.
And majority of yorubas want it too. But what we hate and cannot understand is the hate directed at us by Nnamdi Kanu.
Much as the yoruba want out of this fabrication called Nigeria, we are very mindful of the leaders we follow.
When the right leadership emerges, we know what to do.
The Op has only advised that the strategies used be reappraised and i don't see why that should instigate vilifications except from people with low cognitive wisdom.

Well I respect your opinions but I disagree although I commend you for taking a stand and not running around the bush.

It shouldn't be seen as that at all Apple to Apple.

We want you to have your biafra, but won't allow the insult.

They are two different things, because insulting us won't bring about your biafra.

If you veer off your important issues to start bashing us, you can't blame us when we stop for a minute and reply you. It doesn't change anything, we want it more than anything for you to get own country.
