I have always wondered why it may be difficult or impossible to have phone batteries (or any rechargeable batteries for that matter) that could last at least 1 year without recharging.

Is this really impossible? Why, if yes? I would appreciate your thoughts.

Good idea, you could also look a data plan that never finishes for a lifetime or N1000 airtime you buy once and it keeps renewing itself over and over for a year. Or better still a smartphone you can use for a lifetime without ever needing to buy another. Good luck in your search, bro
