When I see people saying they are practising African traditional religion I begin to wonder what class of fools they belong to...these are some of the reasons why I believe they are useless

1 African gods didn't live to their expectations when our lands were invaded by the whites. We were conquered by foreigners in our own land. The whites came uninvited yet these gods stood like morons and zombies until its faithful became second class citizens in their own land.....what were the gods thinking? why didn't the gods act? Were they also scared of gun powder? Nonsense!!!

2. African gods are just as lazy as africans. If an African man enters the shrine without cleaning the gods strikes him with madness and death...yet those same gods were mopping when lugard et al trespassed all the sacred places even drank beer and roasted chicken in shrines...where were the gods? we're they scared of the europeans? What about the sacrifices offered to the gods (human sacrifice et al) the whtie stopped all these nonsense yet the so called gods did not complain...where were ifa, amadioha, sango, ogun etc when the invaders looted their so called place of abode?

3. This is reason is why I believe Africans served dead gods. The head of the benin gods and other spiritual artifacts are displayed openly and shamelessly in European museums yet the gods don't understand. If the perpetrators were black I am sure the gods will strike them and their generations yet they couldn't do poo because the perpetrators were white.....

My smart phone is smarter than d so called african gods . What do u expect frm broke deities that eat palmoil and kola frm ugly plates placed by the corner of a street .

The topic attracted me. The introduction of the OP contain lot of flaws. ATR is not a religion like the christianity or Islam where you worship some non-existing God. God in ATR are simply natural phenomenon, natural forces and energy. The spiritual tenacity of ATR has to do with the inter-connectedness between these forces and individual person. The act of connecting with natural forces is praticed universally in Europe, Caribbean, Asia and North America.

However, the reason why I mentioned that ATR is different from Christianity and Islam is because there is absence of superiority fight. ATR has not claimed to be the best or tagged Asian spirituality been the worst.

I am well pleased you said African Gods. Even if Europeans conquered most of African nations, it is on record that Ethiopia was not defeated. Ethiopia has traditional religion just like we do in the far west. In their Oromo traditional religion, they will give praises to Waaq from not making them fall. Italy was resoundly defeated and pushed back with their super firearm.

You should read about the Barbary slave trade where millions of white Christian Europeans were enslaved in North Africa by Africans. Was Christian God sleeping were his people were enslaved? Did Jesus bleeded to coma?

I dont understand where you are taking this superiority battle to. Is Church not a clubbing hall today? The holy house of God is turned to mosque, boko haram waste live in Jos. House of the most high was set on fire. . .even the government ban and close down churches. Is your God dead or asleep when all these were happening in his holy santuary?

The act of sacrificing human life for a God is present in Christianity. Christianity did begin with human sacrifice. . .Jesus is human and was indeed sacrifed.

Idols are material representation of ATR Gods. This does not mean the Idols taken away are the same thing as the Gods.

A coin represent the value of a money. The value is the abstract entity called money and not the metalic coin.

Now what you called Gods are mere artifacts or material representaion of a God which can be displayed anywhere be it museum or on the street just like the Cross.

Jesus cruxification crown is dislpayed in the museum. A crosss believed to be the one Jesus died on is displayed in the museum. Seamless robe of Jesus are everywhere. So what is special here?

Simply google Christians relic in display in different museum and you will be shocked how your Jesus a s s is exposed in galleries

OP is jesus any better ? Since the switch from ATR to abrahamic religions how have africans improved? Has that stopped blacks from being the less advanced race even though Africans were the first people on earth ?
