The flight departed portharcourt international airport and after 10mins of take off made an air return due fire out break the passenger were immediately evacuated at the run way side of the airport some of the passengers sustained injuries but their were no lives lost. Thank God for the intervention of fire service at the airport.

To much accidents these days. It started with trailers - buses - cars and now planes. The safe way is to chop witch and fly on broomstick. Your safety is guaranteed as long as you stay away from merciless churches like MFM, GACRM, CLBM, LRAFA etc.

After take off from Port-Harcourt, the Captain was notified of an issue on the aircraft and followed the return to nearest Airport procedure (which in this case was a return to the Port-Harcourt Airport). As the Captain was taxing to go and park at the apron after landing, the tower informed him that there was smoke from the under belly of the aircraft thereby making the pilot to deploy the slides and all doors for the passengers to be evacuated.

The fire fighters who were called by the tower did not see any smoke nor fire, likewise passengers. The Aircraft Engineers, and other agencies witnessed that there was no smoke nor fire. It was a false fire alarm that led to the entire situation but Air Peace crew responded professionally in accordance with the books.

Air Peace wishes to put it on record that the safety of our passengers, crew and equipment is very central to our operations. What our pilot did was precautionary even though it turned out to be a false fire alarm.
