I stay at Agege area, and there's this okada park beside my place. I've always noticed a police patrol vehicle always come there on weekends (Abattoir Police Division). Today I got to ask one of the okada riders, and was made to understand that they 'settle' the policemen every weekend to avoid any of their members being arrested illegally. As per their agreements, they pay 10 thousand Naira every weekend!!! The park is at egbatedo bus stop, Oko-Oba Road. Mynd44 OAM4J 1 Like

They had their patrol van parked out of view...just so you won't suspect a thing. I wonder how much those okada men make to be able to afford the bribe. |

Naija police ? Smh. I can remember the day these guys stopped me, after checking my papers and seeing my documents were upto date, one of them said I should do weekend for them, ok o, I brought out #500 and gave to them, hmmm! They refused to collect it, later one of them told me to open the door that he wants us to talk, ok o! I opened the door for him o, he came in and said I should find #10000 for them, Na so I shouted o  , Na so he begin to beg me for money, I told him that I don't have upto 2k with me there, the one that surprised me was that he said he will search my pocket to see if I was lying. Na so i laughed out, after searching my pocket, he took my #3000 and the provisions I bought for myself . Since that day I know say naija police Na hungry men. I just kukuma dey drive go my house. |
