i. Copyright Essentials

This workshop provides valuable information on the fundamentals of basic copyright protection, including: - nature of copyright, works eligible for copyright protection, ownership (first ownership; transfers; works-for-hire), registration, infringement and remedies, and collective management organization (collecting societies). Through this course you will gain a basic understanding of copyright law and learn how to protect your work.

ii. The Artiste and its Recording Contract
Through this workshop, participants would gain valuable fundamental information about recording contract, types of recording contract, things a major label would look for in a prospective signee, points to consider before negotiating a recording deal, recording Agreement checklist, potential traps in a recording contract and lots more. Fees: N5,000.00 naira per participant

iii. How to Setup a Recording Label

Our indebt workshop to starting, running and developing your own music label will help you get to speed with details of what it will takes to start an independent record label and become the next chocolate city. We will look at business skills and legal knowledge you will need to start your own label and also consider how development in the digital space can assist you in promoting and marketing your artist.
