You wake up on a cool morning & you are a year older
You wonder if you should be happy or become sober
You don't know where to start from before it becomes Over
But then you supposed to be happy but this feeling gets you colder
Seated up on your bed, some thoughts running thru your head
Should you party? should you celebrate? You thinking of what destiny said
All you ever wanted was to be great, not run around with friends
Some you not sure of their love, some are based on pretence
And You start thinking if this age is just a Burden
You didn't see it coming, it hit you all of a sudden
You begin to think life is hard 'cos it seems to give you pain
You can't do all those u used to do again.
It's like you are slow, You start contending with time
Trying to meet up with your dreams, reaching out for a smile
All you have isn't enough, you just need a little more
You wish your new age could be divided by four.
You wish some things were done, and somethings could be deleted
You regret some mistakes you made, some of which you repeated
Some things you held secret, most of which should have been spoken
So many you disappointed, the many hearts you have broken
You wanna think about the future, but you are being held by the past
cause you've gat a great mountain ahead, a much greater task
You've got to get up quick, there's need to act very fast.
It's time to show what you've got, time to got outta the mask
In a space of ten years, You've got a lot to do
Papa start calling you, mama start disturbin you
When will you get us a child? when will you get us a house?
When will you get married? but you are there running about
You get pushed out of your box, even though you still wanna stay in
You are in a confused state, you so afraid of failing
The tasks looks so little but on the inside feels so plenty
You've gat to come to the reality that you are 20!!!!!
