This however can only be possible when we speak with one voice. This is why the party we choose to belong in YORUBA NATION (APC) has the logo of the broom. A broomstick can easily be broken but a bunch of broomsticks representing our unity cannot be broken easily. . You will remember our political father Chief Obafemi Awolowo tried unsuccessfully to be Nigerian president because of regional and tribal interests. The late Chief MKO Abiola succeeded because of YORUBA unity. The west region voted SDP only and shared the north and eastern regional votes with NRC to make Abiola victorious. Still in our unity YORUBAS fought for denied late MKO Abiola's mandate through Afenifere and NADECO after his death. The pan YORUBA movements marched fearlessly from Jibowu to Anthony where Abacha had set his artilleries at us in Anthony Oke. In this confrontations were late Chief Bola Ige, Chief Abraham Adesanya, Chief Akande, Chief Segun Adegoke, other Afenifere leaders and myself. These confrontations and many others by NADECO informed the release of YORUBA mandate through compensation with President Obasanjo after MKO Abiola's death. Former president Obasanjo knows the struggle, strength and unity of YORUBA nation informed his release from prison and his election as president of Nigeria. Looking at this and bad conducts of PDP, he tore his membership card of PDP publicly and came back home to join THE PROGRESSIVES to keep YORUBA UNITED. This is also the first time a God sent son of YORUBA NATION has worked had and fought tooth and nail to put us in reckoning at the center because the western region has always been in the opposition since Nigerian independence of 1960.. Everything our father, Chief Awolowo will be doing today if he is still alive .... Unite YORUBA nation by planting Governors, love and unity in the States of western region and achieve reckoning for us at the center Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been doing and still doing. Now tell me all sons and daughters of YORUBA NATION why we should not join hands together to complement the efforts of this illustrious son of YORUBA NATION that has been fighting to keep us united for our own benefits? Tell me why ONDO and EKITI states (Old Ondo State) should break the unity our father Chief Obafemi Awolowo fought to hand over to us as YORUBA NATION. Tell me why people Asiwaju made to be where they are today should allow themselves to be used as Judas Iscariot and tools to destroy our unity and secret of our strength to talk and negotiate as a race.. Tell me who deserves to replace Asiwaju or tell me if its better to remain without a common front or leader like sheep without sherperd. Tell me why we should soil our hands with a political party that has plunged our country and economy into the oblivion, a party that has shamelessly put our people in penury and dearth need while billions and billions were kept in soakaway pits, in foreign accounts or shared locally amongst few god fathers. Tell me why we should not remain united as omo kaaro oojire and GENERATIONS OF ODUDUWA that we are. Tell me why we should not come together under one party APC (ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS) that YORUBA NATION belongs. The same things you accused PDP of doing were done by your son OBJ against Nigeria while Ashiwaju single handedly squandered Lagos State commonwealth.
