Dumebi Kachikwu owns a sprawling mansion in Asokoro, PREMIUM TIMES is reporting. Located on Nelson Mandela Street, the mansion is situated a few kilometers from the fence of the presidential villa.
According to the Premium Times investigation, Dumebi Kachikwu began work on the mansion only five months ago, and already the sprawling complex is near completion. Dumebi Kachikwu, who was only recently arrested by the EFCC for scamming 750 million naira—is the brother of the current GMD of NNPC, Ibe Kachikwu.

Interior pictures of the luxury mansion show that the Abuja-based billionaire has spared no expense in building the house of his dreams. Pictures include an indoor swimming pool, gilded furnishing and Italian tiles flown into the country.

Estate surveyors value the land on which the property sits at approximately 2.4 billion naira. The actual value of the building is set at 700 million, leading to a cumulative cost of 3.1 billion naira.




Since Ibe Kachikwu’s appointment as GMD of NNPC, Dumebi has worked as an unofficial overlord, supervising the affairs of the corporation. It is believe that recent unbundling was in fact a plan, orchestrated by him and his brother to wrest control of the oil industry.

The recent discovery of Dumebi’s mansion is likely to put further pressure on Buhari to do something assertive about the NNPC leadership. It will be recalled that a group of concerned citizens recently called on the president to halt the “frightening attempt to hijack the NNPC” that is currently underway.

“It is unfortunate that Ibe, not minding the antecedents of his younger brother who in the past has had issues with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, allow his younger brother to run an almost parallel management at the NNPC and by large the oil sector in the country.”

Many Nigerians find it odd that President Buhari, who championed his victory on the platform of zero-tolerance against corruption, is allowing corruption to run rampant in the NNPC.

Information attack aimed solely at Ibe Kachikwu. Vested interests within the NNPC will try to resist any reforms or Power grabbing in the oil industry. This vested interests all have their children in the same highly paid NNPC. while denying ordinary Nigerians any chance at all, they will pay anybody to fabricate anythiing against Kachikwu.
Kachikwu on the other hand is trying to grab a piece of the pie for himself doesn't care about you or me.
