American Democrats have won the elections.

I think Americans deserve a better leadership.

For republicans like myself,it is a sad day.
Bush may not be the best but the party stands up for values.
I am saddened that Nancy Pelosi of San fransisco becomes the majority house leader and would be ready to fight for her gay marriage agenda and thump abortions at our faces.
I am deeply saddened.

It was obvious Dems were geared to win this time. They will bring the much needed change in Washington. Most people are fed up with rubber-stamp republicans, their scandals and corruption. As for madam speaker, she is the right medicine for arrogant Bush. If nothing else, she will force him to get rid of Rummy.

Well you don't want Hillary to run for the Democrats. She is widely hated in the country and in the last poll taken in October, 58% of people polled said they would oppose her.

The one you want to run for the Democrats (if you want them to win) is Evan Bayh, a good centrist from Indiana.

Hillary getting the nomination is just a gift for the Republicans. Someone mentioned to me a good observation on the effect of a Hillary bid for Presidency: "nothing else would get out the Republican base like Hillary running for the Presidency."

I think that actually the primaries are only 12-15 months away so I will do what little I can to say no to Hillary now.

I think you are over-estimate her power, her party does not want to get thrown out of power, after 12 years in the wilderness. Politicians have a remarkable sense of self-preservation and if her agenda threatens the Democrats electoral chances in 08, she will be removed by her own peeps. The Texas Hammer was removed by his own folks and even GW had candidates avoiding him b4 this election.

Besides didn't we just have a Republican soliciting male kids. Don't get caught in the spin, politicians are the same, winning elections is paramount and most will sell their mothers just to be declared winner.

Rice is a good school I hear, Is it not a private school?Girl how you going to pay all that out of state tuition. Hope you planning on getting a full or partial scholarship

i don't look at the sticker price.
from what i found out, it's more expensive to attend a state school than the most expensive private schools (for poor people like me tis tis). 'cause they give out tons of fin.aid in grants. so if i do get into Rice, i'll be getting need-based scholarship i pretty much figured out i won't qualify for merit based scholarship.
Middlebury's another school i'll be going to for almost free if i apply (i have about 80ish % chance of getting) even though their sticker price is 40+k.
but that doesn't mean i won't be applying to my state school. It's like #1 on my list.

sorry for boring you with that but i'm the one who need it. lol
