Can A Phone Suddenly Become Incompatible With A Particular Network? by nenergy(m): 3:39pm On Mar 22, 2016
I have an iTel iNote, android 4.4. I tried using Glo data late last year, but the service in my neighbourhood was poor, so I had to drop the line.

This year January, the service improved, so I began buying Glo data again and but my phone's network will automatically shutoff.
It will come back after a few seconds, after which a volume-like symbol will appear followed by an advert. The phone will begin to drag and i can't browse until I restart the phone.

I decided to swap the sim since it almost 7 years old. Did a swap, but problems still persist. I visited their office, lady said a swap usually resolves such issues... That I should try the sim in other phone. I no get another smart phone, so I got a new Glo sim yesterday, same problem continued.

It happens only with Glo sims. So geeks in the house, can a phone suddenly become incompatible with a particular network?

I was using glo bis on my tecno until i finally decided to buy the inote, but since they now have cheaper and affordable data i decided to use glo in the inote in february, thought it was the sim that had problem at first so i brought another glo sim and subscribed again last month and yet its the same thing. Had to put the glo sim in my tecno so i can use the data.

It is as a result of incompatibility due to an upgrade in Glo network or device because this issue started late December into January. Have you formated your device as a solution?

See what was said when I raised the issue in iTel iNote whatsapp group
I have been in your shoes.
Glo gave me some Wahala but some sort of miracle has been happening lately.

Whenever it's data is set on "E" it doesn't switch off and on.
But once I set it to "3G" or "H" it does off after some minutes.
I asked around but I got to know that some of the product come with their own spec issues.
We fell into the folks facing incompatibility with glo data.

However, I found a way.
After using Airtel for a month, I tried the glo again and it seemed it received a laying of hands but before I could go share my testimony it tripped off as usual again.

Well it hasn't for some days now since I reset, not because of the glo sim ish but for my contact storage palava.

Some other things I did;
1. Now my setting is 3G only.
2. I switch data to the other sim while I'm not using my data - it kind of gives the glo a breathing time I guess.
3. I sent PAYU to 127 before subscribing with *223*pin#

These are things I did lately o and the glo has been steady too o.
I am not saying the reset did it but that's what I just found out.
