I believe what he means is that the salaries of the 13,000 teachers (that were recruited) was slashed from 67k to 57k.
People though need to learn how to express themselves, and limit the unnecessary use of abbreviations. Take note op.

Well my mum is a teacher and her salary was intact as at yesterday when when she received.

I just asked one of the new Amaechi teachers living in my street and she told me that they even added 5k so beware of MEDIA PROPAGANDA ,
