The social media as a means of online communication and interaction has been of immense benefit to most people in the world today. Almost everyone in the cities within the ages of 18 and 45 uses one social networking site or the other with Facebook being the most commonly used.

Arguably, every social media user can testify to personal gains from the use of networking sites ranging from finding a soul mate to reuniting with old friends and of course, the fact that it is cheaper and easier to stay in touch with loved ones etc. However, some people are not enjoying some of the gains as they have not been able to reunite with their old friends. Why?

There are three possibilities to this. Either they have passed on or they are not on the networking site or they are using a pseudonym with the later being the case most times. It's appalling when I see people use certain names that are not only funny to me but also nonsensical. You see names such as Juicey Princess whereas her real name may be Oluwafunmi Abdullah Kaosisochukwu. How can your friends locate you with such a name?

It's high time we begin to use things the way they ought to be used. I believe that only those with heinous motives use pseudonyms on a platform like Facebook. I smile whenever I google my name and I see my face appear just like in the movies. You gain a lot by using your real name.

**Feel free to add some annoying names you have seen on Facebook

Some people are so unhappy with themselves that the only thing that gives them happiness is to criticize others unnecessarily.

OP you are absolutely right on this issue. Some names are annoying but are we going to do than to respect their private lives.
Using your real name on social media is the best. Some companies do search the names of people applying for job in their companies on social media like Facebook.
