From his time at BPE through Ministerial jobs, he was a man known for taking harsh decisions not necessarily strict and not bias free. For instance, he was said to have pulled down some homes at FCT with the tag that those houses occupied non residential plots in the Abuja Master plan. Many who had committed their life earnings to acquiring and building on those died subsequently from Perhaps stress induced Cardiac arrest. It also became a point for discussion at the Senate ( The Devilish Senate of that Era) that Mallam was as bad as they were. First, there were wide acclaim that the homes knocked down by Mallam's Bulldozer were replaced instantaneously by homes belonging to close friends and associates of El Rufias and second, that the privatization done under the watch of El Rufia and Atiku Abubakar were not without sharp practices. They went further to sentence Mallam to 25 years of misfit for any public office. Luckily, that could not be sustained in the eyes of the law
Mallam is back to public office but has not shown maturity of a man of his experience and age. He has refused to learn
1. That there is a difference between strictness and wickedness. e.g. Our dear Dora Akunyili (RIP) was strict but not wicked
2. That engaging in too many battles can actually reduce one's 'lifespan'. There are enemies that will never settle for a truce, even when defeated will continue to seek opportunity for vengeance
3. You cannot draw a battle line against the occultic Nigerian Pastors and indeed African association of Prophets/ Sorcerers, the reason is simple no Alfa regardless of his rating can access the artistry of these men. They are up to date with the latest discovery in the field of sorcery through shared knowledge. In other words, Mallam can win yesterday but may not win tomorrow
Hitler won many times, spurred by his victories he went further to dare a coalition of armies
4. That the adulteration of Christianity not withstanding, the Christian God has proven times without number to be in possession infinite powers and has little tolerance for men who raise their voices against Him
5. Not all impulses must be followed and the opinion of others should sometimes be allowed. Impulsive and obsessive emperors die from food poisoning, ambush and stab wounds from close assistants

All the same, I believe the accidental public servant has what it takes to build a Kaduna of every citizen's dream
