Nigerians Mock Tinubu For Blasting Kachikwu Instead Of PMB Over Petrol Scarcity by sixtuschimere: 12:44pm On Mar 27, 2016
Leader of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) blasted minister of state for petroleum resources, Ibe Kachikwu, for saying he was not a magician and that Nigerians should not expect the scarcity of petrol to abate until May.
Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos, on Saturday said the minister was answerable to Nigerians and not the other way round.
In the statement titled, ‘Kachikwu Needs to Know That Respect and Good Performance Will Do What Magic Cannot,’ Tinubu said he believed a member of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government “has strayed from the progressive calling required of this administration.”

Following Tinubu's statement,Nigerians have taken to Twitter to react. Many of them said he should call out President Buhari instead of Kachikwu. They pointed out that Kachikwu is just taking

orders and thus Buhari should be blamed for the scarcity of petrol.
What do you think?

I don't see any form of hypocrisy here

In as much as the adminstration failed us in this aspect,
Tinubu was not wailing about the fuel situation...
He blasts Kachikwu for his insensitive statement.

Like a saying

''how you come go outside go talk like that Lai Mo' done dey prepare better speech already... You fall hand''

Am just being rational.

I think he should direct the question to PMB, I think he is on a better position to answer it.

See how people from 2 particular ethnic groups were attacking Kachukwu while exempting the minister for petroleum Buhari

Nigeria is built on hypocrisy

I am sure God is shaking His Head over this hypocrisy.

Kackukwu made a careless statement that have aggravated the fuel situation. It was not Buhari that spoke without weighing the import of the comment.
I know Igbos as usual will rush to defend kachikwu wo was careless in his utterances.

INSENSITIVITY CHRONICLES
1. If YOU can't afford the dollars to educate your children abroad like me, tough luck. Buhari on Aljazeera.

2. I'm not trained as a magician so I'm as amazed as you that petrol is even found at fuel stations. YOU should be grateful.

Buhari's Abobaku/Shock Absorber/fall guy Kachikwu.

3. If you are in darkness it's not our responsibility. YOU go after the gas pipeline saboteurs.

Buhari's Mouthpiece Femi Adesina.

Them no even care to explain to you as real politicians do. You have to bend and take it in the arse and not shout.

egomaniacal grifters....

Na so we see am. Even if the fuel scarcity will last till December, he was not supposed to say so. Making that statement gave a freeway to saboteurs and racketeers.

His statement just embolden the fuel racketeers to keep hoarding the fuel knowing they still have another 2 months to keep making a kill.
Most stakeholders always read the body language of those making decision in the industry, and will always take their comments and utterances as the gospel truth.

A careful reading of Tinubu's statement will show that it is just a thinly veiled attack on Kachikwu rather than the advice it is made to look like.

He carefully worded it to look like his grouse was with the haughty statement Kachikwu made but even from the title of the statement, 'Respect and good performance will.....' one can clearly see that he has a grouse with the "good performance" or otherwise of kachikwu.

It seems to me like Tinubu had been waiting patiently for an opportunity to cut Kachikwu down to size and this regrettable utterance of kachikwu just gave him a perfect opportunity. No wonder Tinubu's statement seemingly sounded like going in with a shot gun to kill a fly. It was just too strongly worded.

He should come out plainly and tell us whatever he has against kachikwu. undecided

The headline of this piece is mischievously misleading.
All i could read is that most Nigerians supported Jagaban on his query against Kachukwu to wake up while as usual the IPOBians call for the head of their nemesis.

Tinubu's attach on Kachukwu is very much justified considering the laters remark that is as callous as it is insensitive. There's no justification for such loquacious pomposity.

Since he made his infamous mis-statement, the fuel situation has worsened and the speculators are having a field day at the expense of the masses.

Those attacking Tinubu on this are simply drives by sentiment

Because the slave master has attacked kachukwu, all the dogs in his tribe has been unleashed to feed on the poor kachukwu.
Meanwhile, the slave master and his dog clan are carefully pretending that there's no minister of petroleum whom their attack should be directed at. Then again, its a master/slave relationship.

By the way,we all know why Tinubu has turned saint to attack kachukwu. Purely a selfish business ineterest of his
