I discovered my internet has been slow. On a closer look, it was on Edge network. I went to setting to change to 3G, but to my utmost disappointment, "prefered network type" was disabled.

Please does anyone here know how I can fix this?

The sim is on sim 1 and sim 2 of Ur phone doesn't support 3G

dial *#*#4636#*#*, tap on phone information, scroll down to preferred network setting and from the drop down menu, choose wcdma.

Sorry all. I appreciate your inputs, the phone wouldn't let me browse for a while now.

Yes, I used to have 3G option on the phone before now, untill it had issues.

My phone brand is INNJOO Fire.

On February 18th, my phone fell from a seat in church and the screen cracked with multiple lines towards the lower part of the screen (meanwhile it had fallen from greater heights and nothing serious happened).

Since the crack didn't stop me from using the phone, also remembering I was told to bring 12k for the repairs of one of my phones previously, which made me to retire it temporarily, I made up my mind to keep using this one with the screen that way- no money to dash anybody yet.

Then last two weeks, I discovered the phone would freeze sometimes. The only remedy at each of those times would be to remove the battery, fix the battery after a while and start charging it without turning it on, then switching it on after it had charged to about 50%.

I have been suffering like that o! Sometimes it goes off in the middle of a call and that'll be the end of that call at that time, very embarrassing.

Then during the Easter hols, by chance I only left one sim (the voice ). To my amazement, my phone didn't freeze for a long time. I decided to be running with one sim.

Later, I replaced it with the data sim and noticed the 3G wahala.

I had thought the problem was dual sim so yesterday I tried putting the data sim in the other slot, believe me, it froze on start-up. I'm beginning to believe it's from the sim slot. Meaning I can't enable 3G on one slot? I have tried enabling both mtn and airtel 3G on the slot that works but without success.

Could this problem be associated with screen?
