Carefully read that verse from d start. Peter answered a question asked by Jesus on who he is. Peter called him d 'messiah'.Now it was this fact (Jesus bn d messiah) that is d rock upon which d church is built, and not on d person of Peter. Jesus is the saviour, messiah, upon which d gates of hell shall never prevail. Tanx again bro
