First of all, hit this link

www.nairaland.com/3040666/only-24-diagnosed-impotency-why

Apparently, a young nairalander was diagnosed with erectile dysfunction & Low testosterone levels; due to this fact, he was sounding down & somewhat suicidal.

I scrolled down to read the comments.

I started seeing comments like "god will do this, god will do that"

Why are "we" like this?

Why do we place religion before logic?
Why have we chosen not to use our brains?

The level of stvpidity & ignorance in the nigerian populace is too damn high!

Even university graduates are reigned into this band-wagon of "god-will-do-it".

I bet you, if this same topic & problem is placed on other
forums like reddit.com or ask.com, you would see little or no "god" related comments.

You'd see people bringing up solutions like hormonal injections, physiotheraphy, etc.

But here, we are content with jumping from one pastor to another with the "god-will-do-it" mentality.

nigeria is soooo backward.

nigeria, with this mentality, will never move forward.

#spits.

That is why most Nigerians will prefer the story of a bread seller who baba god pick her call, to a graduate would notch 5 point through discipline, hardwork and determination.

We are just too lazy to go to the fundamental and think our way up to the solution, we are just too use to patch things and solve temporary problems as we go.

The truth is that on that thread, no one really believe that it is a problem that can be solved, so they hand it over to God and get on with their lives like it can never happen to them or anyone close to them

Spot on analysis.
Sometimes, I wonder if/when africa/blacks will be on the same intellectual level with the europeans.

The berth is so wide that if tomorrow, they decide to colonize us again, they will. Without any hitches whatsoever!
