Christianity has been often accused of division into various denomination thus a reason the athiest have used to state that there is no God! i have observed that even among athiests there is no agreement on every issue. they disagree on issues.

however, even though we have many denomination, one BASIC point we all agree is that there is God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who is God! so even though athiest dont agree on every issue, they have one BELIEF - THERE IS NO GOD.

Now paul in his letter to the corinthians already say this division where some say they are after paul, peter etc and admonished them to be of one MIND. Meaning that the reason we are having a lot of different denomination with different doctrines is because we have our mindset different. thus we are admonished in Rom 12:1 TO RENEW (reprogramme) our MINDSET after Christ. so fellow christians lets renew our mind and then the unity of faith which paul stated WILL BE ACHIEVED.

so if becos of denomination that is why u dont believe there is God, Think again - even athiest are divided.

Thomas Jefferson once wrote of a preacher, Richard Mote, who "exclaimed aloud to his congregation that he did not believe there was a Quaker, Presbyterian, Methodist, or Baptist in heaven, having paused to give his audience time to stare and to wonder.  He added that, in heaven, God knew no distinctions."
