I'm not sure it's location it's either a system downtime or it works on some selected sim cards ! u can imagine me staying up with the hope of doing some heavy download and then I was served with a hot plate of disappointment!

the weekend plan doesn't work in my sim card tho....

If it does not work after subscription then you need to reboot your phone and connect two or three times and it would start working.That's how I always manage to get mine working as it refuses to start automatically most of the time but once it connects it just goes on until your time is finished

Exactly the same thing happened to me. I tried to sub but was unsuccesful.
I called airtel customer care and their rep swore that she has never heard about the plan.
Does it mean that the night plan is a scam ?

I normally do,but you do have to make sure you wake up when it's time to start your downloads. The subscription system works in the night as well
