Wraith Is Real! My Story.... by Samfigo1(m): 5:07pm On Apr 16, 2016
I have heard so many stories about wraith popularly called Akudaaya in Yoruba but didn't really believe the stories until I encountered one! Many have dismissed such stories as fictions, hallucinations or fabrications but I am emphatically telling you that wraith is real! Let me tell you the meaning of wraith for those that don't have dictionary as at the time of reading.
Wraith is a ghost or  specter, especially seen just after a person's death.
My Story!
I had a friend Soji by name(not his real name), we were good friends, we attended the same church but not the same district , most of the time we did meet whenever we had retreat or a combined service at the headquarters. I remember when we were preparing for WAEC, we would take along PQ of different subjects to study whenever we had break during retreat . Along the line we started keeping malice not that we had serious fight but it was a kind of beefing, I am bigger than you, I wear better clothes compared to the once you wear that was the mentality,we were not in talking terms for almost a year! It was around November of a particular year, we were preparing for the December retreat of that year, I was trekking by the side of the road in order to cut cost, I was to board a #40 bus but I had #30 so I was trying to walk the distance #10 could cover.
I was heading home facing the upcoming vehicle, lo and behold I saw this friend of mine also trekking towards me though on the other side of the road also facing upcoming vehicle, we were facing each other but on different side of the road!
Waow! are we going to end the malice before this year's retreat? I said to myself, we were moving close to each other, all I noticed was his smile as he saw me and also the trousers he was wearing which was baggy, I couldn't see his leg though I didn't stare much at his legs, he kept on smiling until we passed each other. I looked back just after few seconds and couldn't see him on his part, I looked at the side I was to see whether he had crossed the road, still I could not see him there was no turning on the part he was trekking from because it was the fence of a church that was there.... could he have jumped over the fence? for what? I said to myself! where is Soji? I could not find him! I just waved it and said alright we would meet at the retreat!
It was December retreat! Myself and Soji must put this malice to a halt! first day I could not see, the second day I decided to visit one of our neighbours, when I got there I heard one of the saddest stories of my life! Soji is dead! What! How?! when did he die? they said sometimes in October! I kept mute for few seconds Ehn? October? but I... I was dumbfounded! has Soji died before I saw him? I said to myself, I raised my head and asked who told you? they said his dad! oh! that's from a good source! So Soji actually showed himself to me!! what! so we couldn't settle this before his demise! very painful!
I am telling you that Wraith is real!
