The Ministries of Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu, speaking Wednesday, on the lingering fuel scarcity, at the State House at the end of the FEC meeting said that the queues were expected to completely disappear by the end of next week.

Kachikwu said that the unhealthy development was as a result of sabotage, he however thanked Nigerians for their patience so far.

The queues are as a result of sabotage. Some people rather than sell products send them into interlands where they can sell at ridiculous prices and so you are having this price distortions where people are making a lot of money, some are internal and some are external but a lot of it is marketers trying to make quick returns on their investments wrongly.

“We have asked DPR to deploy officials to ensure products are sold at the right because is only through price stabilization that these system queues will disappear.

The existence of subsidies can not be divorced from abuse said a 19th century economist!

The scarcity will persist due to a severe shortage of forex due to the government subsidising it and the refusal to deregulate petrol prices

Finally, fuel will be sold at 60 Naira per
litter from Friday!!
I new it!
President Buhari made it clear 2 hours
ago on a private interview in Aso Rock, that
fuel
will be sold at 60 Naira per
litter starting from Friday 22nd
April, 2016.
President Buhari also said
that, the issue of Naira falling in value
will be resolved in less than a week, he
made it clear that by the time the naira issue is
resolved, 60 Naira will = 1
Dollar and that will be in 3 weeks from now, it
will become one Naira - one Dollar.
President Buhari also said that he
promised to change Nigeria at the right
time and that right time is now.
He also
wanted to talk about
corruption, but my Tv exploded
immediately after he mentioned the
Word, "Corruption" and that was when
I woke up and discovered that it was all
a Dream. I sincerely apologize for playing with
your emotions.......

Big lie!

Scarcity is because importers with allocation from NNPC can't source forex at N198/$ which is the basis of the calculation of subsidy payment to them for any qty they import.

So, to the importers, sourcing dollar at over N2tn and getting N6 per litre subsidy payment is a great loss making business, hence no fulfillment of their NNPC allocation quota.

Quote me anywhere.
