Progress Update 13/07/16 TeHN helped forward a N50K donation from an anonymous donor to Mrs Akinlana just before the Eid festival so she could take advantage of the festivity sales. We are still working through her list of preferred items using the available budget (Balance of Donated funds i.e. $300 + ~N20K) and desired medium term outcome as the basis of our decision making process. Update 22/08/2016 This is to notify all stakeholders that we’ve successfully closed this case last week. Our team has managed to empower Mrs Akinlana with the remaining funds from her published budget as planned. As always, we would like to say a special thanks for each and every one of you that has partnered us in making this noble cause successful. A huge appreciation to TeHN and Nairalanders on behalf of Mrs Akinlana. There's no time I pop at her shop that she doesn't show gratitude and shower prayers to everubody that contributed in one form or the other. Her shop is in much better shape and sales are starting to pick up. She saves more now, however she still has a long way to go before she can put away something substantial like she used to. But she believes with more hardwork and prayers, she will get there. She has decided to venture into catering to augment her income. She used to do it for free for close pals and family but now she wants to start charging, most of them are unwilling to pay, . She hopes to get customers away from the familiar ones that may want to take advantage of her goodwill.
