I almost died this afternoon,no I wasn't involved in an accident neither did I mistakenly ingest poison, so what almost took my life you may ask.

It is PHCN oooo,or is it NEPA sef? I take God beg everybody,make una help me beg them o.

No light for the passed how many weeks,even when they manage to restore power,it would be at odd hours(sorry minutes because the light no dey reach hour), no one would be at home to enjoy the light.

Back to my near death experience,I took my bath after doing my chores this morning,dressed up and drove out in search of fuel (for Pete's sake,it saturday,person suppose flex light even if na small). I visited all the filling stations I know, No fuel, the ones I don't know nko? No fuel.

I drove back home,dejected and disappointed,the look on my kids face totally killed me.
I felt like hitting my head on the wall,I hate disappointing my kids.
Chei! Which kind wahala be dis?

"Ugoooooooooo"I yelled at my cousin
"Yes aunty"
"Abeg,cari these young men,make una go swim"I instructed,throwing the car keys and some money at him

He was overjoyed and showed it by busting a move

"Hey,hey,my friend,no cari my kids go block all those your 'kambiakwa' babes o"

Three of them kissed me goodbye,soon the house was quiet,I was left alone and that was my greatest undoing.

Ehn?! If you see heat! The sun was blazing like it was on some kind of mission to destroy earth, the walls were scorching hot,no pray make your body mistakenly touch am o,else na E.R you go wake up.

Rivulet of sweat ran down my body,some even went as far as entering the center part of my ikebe, under my brea:sts became river Niger and Benue running in opposite direction and creating a confluence at my back

I was so frustrated,I began to cry,I kept starring at the ceiling fan,hoping PHCN will give me a miracle but for where?

This massive ache from nowhere just jumped into my head,my brain stopped functioning. I couldn't breathe properly,naturally na so choking cari chair come siddon for my chest

"Oh Irene,na so you take go?" A voice said to me,I'm absolutely sure it was 'heat' o
"Go where?where you send?abeg I no dey go anywhere" I replied angrily.

I took off every item of clothing,laid on the floor hoping to get respite from this tormenting demon called heat

"You think say you fit dodge me?"Whispered heat into my ear
"Kai! Who talk dat tin?"I asked,looking around
"Na me na" Responded heat
"Who?"
"Me!"
"Who?"
"Me!"

I glance round the whole room,nobody!
'Chei! Na so person take dey kolo o and nobody dey here to hold me"I cried bitterly
"You don kukuma na:ked sef,na to stroll enta market remain o"It was 'heat' again o
"Ha! I reject it in Jesus name"I shouted,swinging my hand over my head and clicking my thumb and middle finger at the back(the 'God forbid' sign)

"Oya Irene stand up,stand up,the devil and his agents are liars,stand up!"I spoke to my spirit man,my flesh was obviously weak.

I got up,took a long shower,without towelling my body,I wore a bum short,a bra and carried my mattress to the cashew tree in my compound.

Thunder fire heat,frustration and fuel scarcity.

hahahahaha...but today heat no get part 2. at least d heat no keeh u.quite an interestingly funny piece
