There was pandemonium in Benikruku and Kokodiagbene in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State on Wednesday night, as operatives of the Joint Task Force (JTF), engaged suspected militants in a gun battle. Security sources told the Nigerian Tribune on Thursday, that the soldiers were escorting displaced people of the Gbaramatu Kingdom who were returning home at about 8 p.m., when they encountered a boat approaching them on top speed. "The speed boat came too close to the convoy and the soldiers, suspecting them to be militants, fired several shots and thus, scared them away.
