This is serious! Nigeria is full of stupid people wether educated or not, there are just too many foolish people in this God forsaken country. Where in the statement did Omoyele accuse Facebook of collecting bribe? Facebook earn it money by selling Adverts. What Yele accuses Facebook of is selling Ad space to a crooked person whose source of money is not clean, hence taking "dirty money".

Later ye all will be forming like ye understand the English language better than the English themselves, but simple statement you cannot even transliterate it properly.

Anybody can advertise/sponsor a page on Facebook. Is Sowore that dumb not to know that? I bet he isn't the dumb, so we should all agree the writer of this article is the dumb one here.

Every media house can't stoop so low like your media house to be pribed for dirty deals. So stop the blackmail.Sahara reporter rescue is not fake but an aberration and you cannot proof any of their link with Bukora saraki. So quit the noise making.

Mtcheew this omosere guy is just mouthing unnecessarily. Facebook is a business, provided you are not breaking any of Facebook's policy you can sponsor any post/page.Facebook doesn't need to know you to sponsor your post/page they just need to know your "card details" chikena.
In oshomoles voice ...."that omosoye guy can goan die."

it seems people don't just get it. I refrained from commenting since this thread was created, just reading through to see how we reason, only few understand his view.
1. Sahara Reporters is a verified handle on Facebook.
2. There is an impostor.
3. Omoyele reported it few weeks ago(for those that follows him) to Facebook.
4. Facebook refused to bring down the page because of the revenue it's getting without considering it's existing user.
Omoyele is simply saying Facebook considers its revenue more than its users protection.
He is not accusing Facebook of bribery, but unethical conduct. Don't be surprised if Facebook brings the sponsored page down in few days after considering legal consequence, because it means there can be sponsored page(ads) of reputable Facebook users just to tarnish the image of the real user, eg, CNN, US organization, States president's, etc.

you don't know how things work, do you? There is a difference between Sahara Reporters and Sahara Reporters Rescue. Sowore does not have a monopoly on the words Sahara Reporters, anybody can use it. What he has is the monopoly on using Sahara Reporters as a business name. Facebook are not your normal Nigerian company with Tribal sentiment. Get that into your head.

Lets learn to comprehend info rationally witout hatred or bia.
This story is from a blogger for Christ sake. How do bloggers survive? Can anyone answer that?
This jus a low life scavenging blogger hustling to exist by patronising Saraki.
How has SR deviated? When they published negative stories abt Buhari, Tinubu and APC that was cool ba?
But let them expose Pdp or any corrupt politicians, some inglorious sycophant will scream hell.
The guy said FB, nt Mark. FB av representatives in Nig. Those may be compromise or either hackers r involved.

Are you sure? Just recently Facebook charged me $25 twice for advert that I'm not running. Maybe this is how he gets his billions.

Olode, Omoleye should copy the business model of FB: have sponsored pages, clearly paid for in the open-taxable, accounted for, and acknowledged, instead of the "investigative journalism" paid for under the table like he has been practicing for many years now.

It's not about bribing Zuckerberg. Apparently Saraki's people simply opened the fake site and started spending millions on sponsoring it. Facebook accepted these ads. It's legal. I think what Sowore is saying is that Facebook may have refrained from penalising the site because it was spending millions on promo.

U said omoleye has stooped so low?
Isnt mark zukerberg stooping so low by collecting bribe from saraki, closing Sahara reporter's fb page and sponsoring a fake SR page?

what do you mean tribal sentiment?
seems you don't understand impersonation in a business world.
read about Niger Chemists Limited v Nigeria Chemists. It's wrong in law to use similar name of a company for your company, most especially if you are engaged in similar trade. Check the SR and SRrescue, then tell me if you find differences more than similarities.
Like I said earlier, I don't know if Facebook can prove its case in court of law, but I know they will definitely stop such soon when legal consequences are considered.
Modified:
Recently, there was a thread here on NL about a user using a domain similar to Facebook's own, he was told he had no case by legal analysts here base on the content of his site, design and similarity in name, now we have another of such case, but the useless lens, called politics won't allow us see the wrongs or rights in this.
