The state Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress in Ekiti state, Raymond Adesanmi, has called for a review of the wage bill, saying the same figure was claimed by ex-governor Kayode Fayemi’s administration. The organised labour in Ekiti State queried the workers wage bill by the Governor Ayodele Fayose-led administration which currently stands at N2.6bn.

He was quoted saying, "The current wage bill quoted was inherited from the immediate past administration. After one year of this administration, we expect that the bill would have reduced". “This is because no employment was done and civil servants are retiring every day. If this is looked into, more resources will be available for the payment of salaries and perform other government functions,” he said.

Because Fayose said he inherited N2.6bn then he must be a thief? What sort of stupidity is that?

Did Fayemi say he didn't borrow that money, someone has to pay for the loan and Fayose is currently paying. Ekiti had #1.5bil deducted from their allocation.

I'm quite sure the English Language has never made much sense to you.

Was Fayose accused because he inherited N2.6b? The Labour man had only asked why the wage bill is still the same after several retirements and no recruitment. If Fayose is repaying a loan, it should be clearly stated and not collapsed under "Wage Bill"

Blind sycophants everywhere

Besides fayose had said in one of its media propaganda that they have flushed out some ghost worker and as such save millions which are suppose to be part of what constitute the previous wage bill so the present one should have reduced
