THAT PROPHET In the new testament: According to the holy bible, the Jews were waiting for the fulfilment of THREE distinct prophecies: One, the coming of CHRIST. Two, the coming of ELIAS, and Three, the coming of THAT PROPHET. "AND THEY ASKED HIM, AND SAID UNTO HIM, WHY BAPTIZEST THOU THEN, IF THOU BE a) NOT THE CHRIST, b) NOR ELIAS, c) NEITHER THAT PROPHET?" ( John 1:25 ) Jesus Christ confirmed that John the Baptist is Elias foretold to have come before Him. ".......ELIAS TRULY SHALL FIRST COME, AND RESTORE ALL THINGS. BUT I SAY UNTO YOU, THAT ELIAS IS COME ALREADY, AND THEY KNEW HIM NOT,...THEN THE DISCIPLES UNDERSTOOD THAT HE SPAKE UNTO THEM OF JOHN THE BAPTIST." (Matthew 17:11-13 ) Jesus is the CHRIST, John the Baptist is Elias, according to the bible. The crucial question here is: who is THAT PROPHET after the advent of Jesus and John the Baptist? In the Acts of the Apostles, Peter reiterates about the coming of that prophet: "For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people." (acts 3:22-23) 2. THAT PROPHET In the old testament: The vision of prophet Isiah of the two riders (kings/prophets) in the bible gives a clear picture of the prophet: "And he saw a chariot with two horsemen, a rider upon an ass, and a rider upon a camel: he shall listen diligently with great attentiveness." [Douay-Rheims Bible, Isiah 21:7] who was the rider upon an ass? Every sunday school student will know him. That was Jesus (A.S). In the book of Matt. 21:1-11; as well as Mark 11:1-11 ; as well as Luke 19:29-44 ; and John 12:12-19, Jesus went in to Jerusalem riding upon an ass. Who, then, is the promised rider on the camel? This powerful prophet has been overlooked by bible readers. This is the prophet from Arabia, Mohammad (A.S) who rode on camel when he enterd Medinah. If this is not applied to him, then the prophecy is yet to be fulfiiled.
