Niche Research

This topic determines the steering wheel of most of your work and earnings in your respective blogosphere yet most of you take it so lightly or don't even bother to do it.

Lemme guess why some of you are in the niche you are now. (You can correct me)
1. Because I know a problogger that's making it in that niche.
2. My friend's a blogger and he is earning money in it.
3. I saw some cool earnings report about a niche and am seriously interested.
4. People are blogging, let me join them.
5. I want to be known as a popular blogger.

The list can go on. (You can correct me)

Now let's face the truth, some of those reasons could work for some, while for majority it won't work.

Recently I read an article from Stuart Walker blog Nichehacks.com, he was interviewing some great bloggers and from the interview I learnt one valuable lesson.

Your PASSION plus it's PROFITABILITY = Good success and great earnings.

To further explain, your passion is the main drive - plus how profitable it can be on the Internet - to a successful blogging career.

To find your passion is left to you to decipher, but if you need help I can help.

Now to it's profitability here are some tips
1. Know your audience.
2. Use keywords tools to check it's monthly market size.
3. Check it's demand using Google trends.
4. Check if the competition is stiff.
5. Find a unique angle to outperform your competition.

To achieve that dream blog, find time to research well before jumping into a niche.

If haven't done it before, you still can so you can re-strategize. A new blogger? Better get to it.
