Absolutely! besides them kids don't/didn't know any better like that commentor believes it helped in her success today, they were made to believe that caining them was/is good for their up bringing. only cows, donkeys and horses are flogged.

this is a serious child abuse, African parents believes that flogging their children will make them listen, it doesn't.try this over here and the parent will end upin prison for child abuse.

even till my SS3 I gave my physics master tough time then. only God recorded the numbers of cane that was given to me then.

My literature and French masters did me in. Jesus! In the end I think they helped to shape me up to what I am now. Without them one would have got lost in the free world of the university. Unfortunately I am not a teacher to also give back and help to prepare the younger ones.

Not flogging for flogging sake. It is for behaviour reshaping. At that level what we call fear of flogging is an aspect of deterrence to bad behaviour. You and I are living witnesses. Happy Sunday bros.

precisely! i didn't expect you to sound any different my point was you nigerians didn't get it right with your kids by beating and flogging them hence they grow up armed robbers and ETC but i am not surprised you didn't see it that way, yes we have Good schools over here the white men you claim do not know how to raise children also wrote the Bible you are reading and are supposed to live and raise your kids by, you see how confused you are? anyway i don't blame your ignorance of the origin of the Bible and christianity. you people just believe without questions as long the so called pastors in nigeria said it, i am guessing you must be one of those nigerians who also believe that some innocent children or child is a witch or wizard grin

(2) you are immature in your reasoning....common mhen "you nigerians didn't get it right with your kids by beating and flogging them so they grow up to be armed robbers and ETC"......nigga who talks like that.

Parents and people in authority have the responsibility to instill discipline on those under their care. However, corporal punishment is just one of the many ways to discipline a child. A parent must weigh their options very carefully, and always have an open conversation with the child in order to encourage understanding, respect and learning
