8 Ways To Get A Better Night Sleep As A Diabetic! by adesteve0606(m): 8:34pm On May 10, 2016
A lot of diabetes patients have complained about
difficulty in sleeping. This is my research work on those complaints.

Here are 8 ways to have a better night rest if you
are diabetic.

Diabetes can have a big effect on sleep. High blood
glucose levels, sleep apnea, night-time hypos – these
are some of the ways that diabetes can leave you feeling
unsatisfied with your sleep and tired the next day.

The opposite is also true. Poor sleeping habits can cause
type 2 diabetes.

These 8 sleeping tips should help you get a better
night’s rest:

1. Have a fixed sleeping time
Aim to get at least six hours sleep per night. If your
schedule allows it, eight hours is even better. To do
that, pick a bedtime and a waking up time, and stick
to it.

If you stick to regular sleeping hours, your body will
get used to shutting off at that time, making it easier
to get to sleep. It will also make your routine more
structured and less hectic, allowing you to sleep more
peacefully.

Unfortunately, that means no napping. However
tempting it might be. Napping disrupts your sleep
rhythms, which, once you’ve decided on your fixed
sleeping hours, should be nice and settled.

On a similar note…

2. Don’t sleep in at the weekends
Try to maintain the same fixed sleeping pattern every
day. That means at the weekend too. Breaking your
fixed sleeping time at weekends, although tempting,
can disrupt the flow of your metabolism.

3. Avoid alcohol before bed

At first, alcohol makes you feel sleepy, but it has a stimulating
effect later on. If you have a drink just before bed, you will disrupt
your sleep. You might wake up much earlier than you planned to.
Or you might just have poor quality sleep, leaving you feeling
tired the next day.

4. Train your brain
Teach your brain that the bed is only for sleeping and some other
grown-up things. That means not working in bed, or browsing
the internet in bed, or anything like that. If you associate bed with
all kinds of non-sleeping activities, your brain won’t naturally be
inclined to drift off.

5. Practice relaxation and meditation techniques and
avoid worrying and getting anxious :

Practice mindfulness and other breathing exercises to help you
switch off from outside concerns. Most of the anxieties that
disturb our sleep are about the future. By meditating, we take
our minds off the future and focus on the present moment.
This helps us have a better night’s sleep, which in turn helps
us face those things as we get to them.

6. Avoid screens before bed

The light from bright screens wakes our brains up. Research
also suggests that it disrupts our circadian rhythms, which,
among other things, help us to maintain healthy, consistent
sleep.

7. Avoid leaving tasks till the morning
Try to get everyday tasks done the night before. That includes
things like choosing your outfit and making your lunch. By getting
these tiny stressors out of the way, you’ll sleep more peacefully.
Like a baby.

8. Use GLUCOFIT.
This all natural diabetes cure has in it components
that detoxify and relax your body. GLUCOFIT has
been proven to lower blood sugar by 40% or more
within 2 weeks of usage. Lives are being transformed

Discuss these with your Doctor

PLEASE ENSURE YOU READ THESE

In the first place, your physician's advice is paramount
in your health management.

However I need to quickly make some clarifications.

Glucofit is not a drug. Its a pack of some vital supplements
that would have prevented you from having Diabetes in the
first place.

What these ingredients do is to offer our metabolic
system vital nutrients and minerals that have the potential
to help, assist, and manage a lot of metabolic conditions.

Just as the statistic of sufferers of Diabetes was lower
when our parents were growing up (just because their diets
contained some of these ingredients), we all can still get
some of these ingredients without going back to our ancestral
times.

Modern industrialization and civilization and sedentary
lifestyles coupled with our dietary nutritional gaps have
led us to where we are today.
www.firsthealthmanagement.com
So please tell your doctor that GLUCOFIT is not a drug.

And also tell him or her that we wholeheartedly encourage
you to take your normal medication.

However, efforts should be made by you to visit your doctor
so as to monitor your progress because a time will soon
come when your doctor will ask you further questions
based on the improvement that will soon become so obvious.

Some of the health benefits of arginine include; regulating blood pressure and treating coronary heart disease. Mineral found in the seeds is magnesium.

According to the U.S. National Institute of Health, magnesium helps to regulate blood pressure and the metabolism of carbohydrates, which has a beneficial effect on blood sugar level. Other important minerals in watermelon seeds are phosphorous, iron, potassium, sodium, copper, manganese and zinc.

2 The most surprising thing about watermelon seeds is the amount of fat they contain. A cup of the dried seeds contain 51 per cent fat. Other categories of deposits in the seeds are monounsaturated, polyunsaturated and omega-6 fatty acids.

The American Heart Association reports that mono and polyunsaturated fats reduce blood cholesterol, while omega-6 fatty acids can help reduce high blood pressure.

31. Low Calorie
One ounce of watermelon seeds contains approximately 158 calories. That’s not much lower than an ounce of Lay’s Potato Chips (160 calories), but let’s take a look at what constitutes an ounce. There are approximately 400 watermelon seeds in a single ounce, far too many to eat in one sitting. By contrast, there are only 15 potato chips in an ounce, far less than most people would normally munch in one sitting.

A large handful of watermelon seeds weighs about 4 grams, which contains about 56 seeds and just 22 calories. Far less than a bag of potato chips!

2. Magnesium
One of several minerals found in watermelon seeds is magnesium. In a 4 gram serving, you’ll get 21 mg of magnesium. The FDA recommends adults get 400 mg of this mineral daily. Magnesium is essential for many of the body’s metabolic functions. It’s also required to maintain nerve and muscle function, as well as immune, heart, and bone health.

3. Iron
A handful of watermelon seeds contains about 0.29 mg of iron. It might not seem like much, but the FDA only recommends adults get 18 mg in their day. Iron is an important component of hemoglobin — carrying oxygen through the body. It also helps your body convert calories into energy.

4. Folate
There are 2 μ of folate in a single serving of watermelon seeds. The FDA recommends adults get 400 μ each day. Folate, also known as folic acid or vitamin B-9, is important for proper brain function and also works to control homocysteine levels. Women of childbearing years need even more, since folate deficiency has been associated with certain neural tubal birth defects.

5. ‘Good’ Fats
Watermelon seeds also provide a good source of both monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids — 0.3 and 1.1 grams, respectively. According to the American Heart Association, these fats are useful in protecting against heart attack and stroke, and lowering levels of “bad” cholesterol in the blood.

The Takeaway
Watermelon seeds have many health benefits. Although the amounts of some minerals and vitamins within them may seem low, they are still far preferable to potato chips and other unhealthy snacks.

1. Your body requires amino acids but there are some essential amino acids such as arginine and lysine which the body cannot produce on its own and these have to be provided from food sources. Watermelon seeds contain some of these essential amino acids such as tryptophan and glutamic acids. Lysine helps in calcium absorption to facilitate formation of collagen and connective tissues in the body whereas arginine improves the body’s metabolism, cardiovascular system and sexual health.

2. Watermelon seeds are good sources of magnesium with 100 grams of seeds providing 139 percent of the recommended daily requirement. Magnesium is vital for normal heart functioning, maintenance of normal blood pressure, supporting metabolic process and protein synthesis. It is also beneficial in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases and hypertension besides controlling blood pressure and diabetes.

3. Watermelon seeds contain lycopene which is good for your face and also helps in improving male fertility.

4. These seeds are excellent sources of multivitamin B and can replace some of the supplements. Vitamin B present in watermelon seeds comprises of niacin, folate, thiamine, riboflavin, vitamin B6 and pantothenic acid. B vitamins are vital for maintaining healthy blood, nervous system and effective immune response.

5. These seeds can be used for treating diabetes. Boil a handful of watermelon seeds in 1 liter water for 45 minutes, keeping the pot covered. This concoction should be taken every day like tea.

6. Watermelon seeds are effective in recovering health after illness and sharpening your memory.

7. Almost half of the watermelon seed contains oil which comprises of 20 percent saturated fat and the rest monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fat including omega-6 fatty acids. One cup of dried watermelon seeds contains around 50 grams of fat which constitutes about 80 percent of the daily recommended value. Thus, watermelon seeds are an important source of calories and energy.

8. Protein deficiency is quite common, leading to diseases like marasmus and kwashiorkor in poorer countries of the world. Being high in protein, watermelon seeds can be extremely beneficial in combating protein deficiencies. One cup of dried seeds provides about 30 grams of protein. Protein and its amino acids are vital for growth and repair of muscles, skin and connective tissues as well as for making enzymes. Protein is also required for the maintenance of long and strong nails.

9. The unsaturated fatty acids in watermelon seeds keep the skin moisturized, soft, firm, well-toned and prevent acne and other skin disorders.

10. Watermelon seeds prevent signs of ageing because they contain antioxidants and oils which make your skin look younger, healthier and more vibrant. These benefits can be observed by consuming a handful or two of watermelon seeds a week.

11. Water melon seed oil, also known as Ootanga oil or Kalahari oil is extremely beneficial for your skin. Being light in texture, it does not clog skin pores, thus allowing your skin to function naturally and is a great moisturizer. Due to its excellent moisturizing properties, watermelon seed oil is used as an essential ingredient in baby oils.

12. Watermelon seed oil also removes sebum, dirt and grease that build up in your skin pores and are responsible for causing acne and giving a dull appearance to your skin. This oil is suitable for all skin types including dry, oily, acne prone and maturing skin.

13. Watermelon seed extract locks moisture, thus combating the ageing degradation. It also rejuvenates the elasticity of your skin.

14. The wide array of nutrients contained in watermelon seeds protects your skin from certain types of skin cancers and infections as well.

Hair Benefits of Watermelon Seeds:

As stated earlier, watermelon seeds have a high content of protein in them which can keep your hair healthy and shiny. This protein contains certain essential amino acids such as lysine, arginine, tryptophan and glutamic acid which are needed by your body to keep your hair healthy and strong.

15. Roasted watermelon seeds contain copper which is involved in the production of melanin. As you know, melanin is a pigment that provides color to your hair and skin.

16. In addition to its skin benefits, watermelon seed oil can also be used for your tresses. As pointed out earlier, this oil is light in texture that gets absorbed easily without clogging the pores of your scalp. It provides moisturizing benefits and improves hair growth by maintaining hair and scalp health.

17. Watermelon seed oil provides the hair with essential fatty acids which are needed by your hair to prevent breakage and keep it moisturized.
Yes it is marvelous but how long will you get those minerals from watermelon and how many watermelon will you buy, that is where supplements come in. take a step today
