…Offers 30MB for N100, 7GB for N3,500

Lagos, Nigeria; Monday, 16th May, 2016: In demonstration of its commitment to becoming the mobile Internet services provider of first choice for telecoms consumers in Nigeria, leading telecoms operator, Airtel Nigeria has announced a review of its data tariff plans in a strategic move to offer more value to customers.

Under the new data plans, customers can now enjoy up to 30MB with just N100, and 7GB at just N3,500 for a 30 day period. Customers can activate the new tariff plan by dialling *141#

According to him, Airtel Nigeria has a key objective of delivering innovative, bespoke and quality data offerings to telecoms consumers in line with its commitment to empowering more Nigerians to succeed professionally and personally.

My thought exactly! Something is fishy. This is not just about the competition. Something is forcing the ISPs to bring the prices of their data bundle down. Very soon we will know. But I feel it's not unrelated to the proliferation of 4g services by some networks as well as the soon to be launched MTN 4G network too. I was thinking it was ntel but on a second thought I don't think ntel is even ready yet.

The network is emigrating to data calls from voice calls.

Soon you won't recharge for credit only, you'll recharge N2000 for 30days, with 3GB data benefit.

To buy data would mean something like N5000 unlimited for 30days @ 4G LTE, N3200 unlimited for 30 days @H+

This all started when mtn stopped BBLITED. Mtn then tried to recover by bringing new plans. Airtel followed then etisalat then glo. I think the best is yet to come. If u dial *198# in mtn you will see many new plans but it seems it is not official yet. There's some night plan of 1gb for N200, then there's unlimited plan of 1wk for N10000 and there's even time based plans there. Can't wait for them to be released.

I think there's another ISP (internet service provider) in town (in Lagos) with cheaper data bundles

Another name for Airtel is fraud.

I purchased 12GB plan and used only 6GB and it stopped browsing.

I check data balance and I got 0.00MB.

Run away from Airtel fraudulent promo.
