Just how christian are public shaming and excommunication?

First off, we hear about how love is quite pertinent to our christian faith

Also we read from the bible that Christ has taught us to dine and wine with sinners, but it seems a lot of Christians are flagrantly disregarding these teachings.

We are admonished not to judge, but then that's what we do everyday of our ' very pathetically fake' christian lives.

Just tell me, why should a pastor publicly shame a lady who got pregnant through pre-marital affairs?
As if that wasn't enough punishment, she was 'disfellowshipped' or excommunicated?....i'd say licence to go and commit suicide

Would Christ have done the same, if he were here?

What of a mother whose only son was found to be a cultist and her daughter rumoured to be a LovePeddler who has had abortions severally.... Members of the CWO would severely censure her, pouncing on her matter like a lioness to an oblivious antelope; and the priest would be like 'you gave your children bad training'

Just how in the world did they know the poor mother didn't try her best to instil the christian tenets in these kids?

She also would be excommunicated also.
Honestly, I thank God for the new pope. He has clearly reduced these judgements in the Catholic church.

Rev. King had wanted to sanctify two fornicators for being immoral, and all he could think of was to incinerate them.

You don't stop anybody from fellowshipping with the brethren. Temptations abound and we might fall at anytime (especially when we feel we can triumph over it and then step right into it)

Imagine a guy standing in front of the church with a girl he got pregnant, and the whole church screams 'abomination' at them.

Abomination to something that well over half of the church members engage in?

Just because you are quite meticulous enough in keeping pregnancies away through the use of prophylactic measures doesn't give you the right to publicly shame others who are naive about such measures.

Who are we to judge?

Such public shame isn't gud. bt the bible supports disfellowshiping. 1cor 5:11. People should not be d'ft for sinning, only if they unrepentantly engage in serious sins should they be shown the way out.

But you realise these pastors dont check whether these erring persons are remorseful. Even when they are, they still get publicly shamed.
