Subsidy Removal Or Price adjustment, What Exactly The Government Has Done? by Rexyl(m): 9:00am On May 19, 2016
It is getting difficult to believe that subsidy has been finally removed on premium motor spirit PMS and government expenditure has been stopped in that line as there is a confusion about what the government has really done. Some believe it was price adjustment that was done and not removal of fuel subsidy because announcement by the government had stated both.

If it is subsidy removal that has been done we will rest assured that the issue has been resolved once and money that will accrue will be used to achieve massive infrastructural development and create more employment. But if it is price adjustment that has been done we all know what that means. We should be preparing for further adjustments in the fuel pump price while promises made so far to put the economy in proper shape may not be realized.

What do you know the government has done, price adjustment or removal of subsidy?

many workers are on strike while some ignored the call to do so from the national secretariat. I think all can't be fooled based on agreement that has not been clearly defined and reached. TUC would be like a body that rushed to reach an agreement on pending issues, what if the expectations go the other way, won't they be seen as betrayals?

NLC strike should continue until all issues are properly resolved and all Nigerians are made to understand where they are going and what to expect? Many even don't know whether it is subsidy that has been removed or price adjustment was done. Even those who are called our representatives at the meetings with the FG are mingling the two in discussions.
