Rescued Chibok girl Amina Ali Nkeki, 19, has tested negative for the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). Amina, who left Maiduguri with Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State for Abuja on Thursday morning, SaharaReporters learnt, spent several hours with doctors supervised by Borno State Commissioner for Health and UNICEF officials.

She was said to have undergone a series of medical tests, including for HIV. The results show she is not carrying the dreaded virus.

Shortly after her tests results were delivered to her family, Amina left Maiduguri with Governor Shettima on a Presidential Dassault Falcon 7X jet with registration number 5N-FGV to see President Muhammadu Buhari. It is unclear if she will return to Borno State anytime soon

Amina was rescued on Tuesday night by vigilantes, as wandered on the edge of Sambisa Forest with a four-month old baby strapped to her back. She was accompanied by her “husband,” a Boko Haram commander.

For someone who has been in captivity for a long time she looks well fed.
Bubu have already won na, just tell us the truth.

From now on i believe they will be releasing two girls a week to mark bubu's anniversary.

Good. It is pathetic how some die-hard political fanatics are still playing politics with the issue of these girls-who are now returning as 'emergency babies mothers'... Some disciples of fayose are saying APC and Buhari kidnapped them just to rubbish Jonathan...unto such 'movie makers', they are now releasing those girls themselves to gain popularity. What! Even world powers had never denied the reality of this sad event. Truth be told, Jonathan was not responsible for their disappearance...Buhari too was not! Where we all failed was our inability to move fast enough when the evil occurred. We should stop playing sentimental politics with issues of 'life'... Behold, it is easy to laugh and argue when evil occurs far away, but one must not forget that evil spreads like fire. Let us come together to fight evil...and stop turning sensitive issues to ballot games.
