Dat method no b today nah!
We have started it 'tey tey'!
I work outside d city I live, before, u get to work and c different colleaugues' cars. But for about 2/3 months now esp when the scarcity was biting hard,we take turns in taking our cars to work, while others join the person who it's his turn to take his car to work. In dat way we save fuel and money.
The relative availability of fuel in most fuel stations isn't coz the increase in price/subsidy removal is working. It's coz people don't have money to buy fuel,as people are just looking for money to eat first now,den think about fueling cars later.
Example,i get two cars, but I no dey craze to dey fuel the two cars in this period,so I chose the one consuming least fuel, and keep buying 6.9litres(1000naira) from time to time! grin grin

The roads are now free for genuine car users that can afford the cost.

If it were before, one family would have three Tokunbo cars on the road. One for Oga, one for madam and children and one for dogs.

Great decision.
See this one. You never make sense. Spits

... Our overdependence of PMS is what is killing us in this nation. We should look for alternatives.
In Denmark, in as much u have a car, u have a bicycle as well.
As Murray Bruce said, a typical Briton doesn't know the fixed price of PMS all he knows is the price of transportation. Be it by train or by bus.
Its a pity in this country, we don't plan ahead. Until something gets out of hand that's when we look beyond the status quo for solutions. We used to looked for White Collar jobs earlier till it dawned on us that the employment rate is getting high. Now, everyone is going to Agric and Enterprenuership.
Back to the topic, I see no reason why FG and State Governments cant provide Massive Bus Transit for people at least to reduce the burden on us a little.

Are you a JJC? Vehicles are not needed before Lagos experiences heavy traffic. Consult pre-Fashola Oshodi.

Meanwhile, we are on a backward trend now. Expect bicycles on the streets soonest when the rush becomes too much and the public transport drivers begin to exploit.

My friend be exposed, the use of bicycles is not a sign of backward trend in fact it is a sign of development, any time you have the chance to travel to Europe which is more and far developed than Africa, you will notice that the number of bicycles on the road if not more than the number of cars are almost equal. Though I have not travel to the whole of Europe but at least I have been in Germany the first economy in Europe.

Denmark also and some parts in France. They use bicycles as alternatives.

As you said about Denmark so also in Germany and other parts of Europe, sometimes you will tend to believe that the number of bicycles are more than the number of cars on the roads. For the issue of public transport I will rather suggest that govt should provide trains while the public sector is encourage to provide the massive buses. Almost all the state govt and the fed govt had one time engaged in provision of mass transit buses in their respective states but corruption couldn't allow that to survive.
