Tabital Pulaaku International: Laamido Adamawa Received By Senegalese President by GorkoSusaay: 9:12pm On May 21, 2016
Laamido of Adamawa was received by Senegalese President Macky Sall, as part of the activities of the Pan-Fulani group, Tabital Pulaaku International.

Laamido Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa is the Honorary Chairman of Tabital Pulaaku International, an international association composed of national chapters in 24 African countries.
The Senegalese president, Macky Ahmadou Abdoul Sall, has vowed to assist TPI in their activities, aiming to develop and preserve the Fulbe cultural patrimony.
In his speech, the President said: "The association [TPI] works to promote the language [Pulaar/Fulfulde]. Culturally and linguistically, we must accompany your actions in order to safeguard all these values contained in the Pulaak, far beyond language. It is these values that are promoted. And I think we have a duty to participate in the dissemination of these values, which are important humanistic principles. The importance of hard work, honour, dignity, religion and faith must be safeguarded and the synthesis of all these principles and many others are contained in the Pulaaku concept".

Further, he said: "Beyond the classical language barriers [French, English, Portuguese], beyond the national borders we have in this region, even beyond West Africa, since you are going to Cameroon and further east, there is this fairly large area in Africa where we share this unique language which we must effectively promote. As we must also promote the other traditional African tongues. Because this is also a reflection of our civilization and what we are."
