I read your book "Oil and Polics".

Probably the best and least unbiased literature on the events leading to the civil war .

Kudos.

On topic: The NYtimes is by far the worst media outlet when it comes to reporting on Islamic extremism as they always try to sugar coat it as based on a social and political factors resulting from western meddling in the middle east.

The fact remains that , at the core of every Islamic extremist doctrine lies the Koran .

All other factors are inconsequential as the Koran is the main motivator towards Islamic extremism. There are Christians in the middle east as well and we don't see them using their religion as a motivator to blow up school buses.

Another point to ponder on is that the NYtimes is majority owned by rich Arab Gulf billionaires so also are more and more western based media outlets.
