Who will save southern Christians of islamization paranoia?? Especially those from the SE.

They will soon come here now and be raising alarm, while failing to take note of some germane points:

1. No matter how ridiculous a bill is, the house will receive it and work on it, so far it has proponents. Working on it does not mean it will scale all the legislative stages. But only depicts democratic tendencies, which gives voice to everyone.

2. The Speaker is a Christian.

3. Any bill that will include changes to the constitution must go through all the State Houses of Assembly.

4. The Bill also has to be passed by the Senate, which has equal representation across the states of the federation. E.g. A small Ekiti/Bayelsa has same number of senators with big Lagos/Kano.

5. The content of the said bill is the most important thing and this media outlet purposely left that one out in order to sensationalize the news.

6.Another way the writer purposely sensationalize the report is in the title. Instead of saying "The bill is about the Sharia Court of Appeal" cunningly said "Pro-Sharia Bill".


Our media outlets need to exercise a high level of professionalism at this time, otherwise they will soon cause a big kasala.

I agree with you bros, the yorubas voted for GEJ whole heartedly in 2011 and was even responsible for his becoming acting president when turai yar adua held us to ransom after her husband died, the SS and SE were no where to be found then with some of them even supporting turai. But Jonathan got there and betrayed the yorubas while the SS and SE who were no where to be found earlier suddenly found their voices and even the SE gave a new name to GEJ, ebele. Am saying this because we forget so easily especially those saying that yorubas betrayed jonathan. The entire south voted GEJ in 2011 with the hope that before power returns to the north, it will take a very long time but Jonathan messed up the opportunity by turning the igbos against the yorubas and deepened the mistrust among southerners today. It will be difficult for the southerners to forget party affiliation, we have hurt each other so much due to the careless of our leaders down here. Alcohol is prohibited in Islam, even in Christianity. Shariah just prescribes punishment for it, the person is to be flogged as a deterrent for everyone, and as you alcohol is one of the causes of crimes. If you look at Shariah, you'll see the beauty of it!
