There are some scam emails going around in my nairaland ID "Dual Core". They are scams and I do not email NairaLanders. I send PMs.

I've been meanin' to post this for sometime now -
For the past few weeks,the inbox of the mail address i used for Nairaland registration purposes has been bombarded with spam mails.it's worrisome because most of the emails are copied to no less than 50 NL members.
Now,how the Bleep do these criminals extract our personal details for spam?

Then al they have to do is EXTRACT.

Yeah i've heard of that. EMAIL EXTRACTOR. They extract your email and use other fake email providers -apart from the popular ones like yahoo and gmail- that support sending mails to more than 10 people to send spams.

I meant the mail is copied to 50 Nlanders includin' me.no matter how many times i block the sender,new ones enter my inbox, copied to other Nairaland members.i know this because i see well known usernames as the recipients of such spams.i wish i could post one of such mails so you can see for yourself.the person must have hacked into the NL database or something and extracted our personal details

All correct about the spammers that sent such mail to me sometime in June and when I replied with a stern warning never to be sent such again, the reply path also forwarded to all the other recipients and one of our own whom innocently got it asked me why I sent him such, I apologised and gave a more vicious warning to the prior sender. Now that the mailer still sent me such again and he still sends to others, I will pull down his site with a malicious programme that can trace even their server and serialy destroy all their affiliated links, including filtering any such similar mails in the future.
Let's Watch out and see how that site is burnt down within sue shortest possible period.

Wow! i thought i was the only recipient of such mail, all i do is just to ignore the sender and delete the mails as they come
