I've been a Vegetarian for 7 years. I'm moving to Lagos for a year. I don't want to stop being a vegetarian, but I do want to be as considerate as possible of Niaja's culture. I'm worried that I might come off as being uncouth or disrespectful if I am invited out to dinner and have to refuse to eat some things. My question, is vegetarianism really uncommon in Lagos? Can a vegetarian survive without being ridiculed? Do restaurants have vegetarian options like most do in the UK or US? Any suggestions would be great. Sorry if this has already been asked.
