Former President, Goodluck
Jonathan, yesterday denied
reports in the media that he
returned to Nigeria from Cote
d’Ivoire last Wednesday,
stressing that he returned
from the United Kingdom last
week and not Cote d’Ivoire
as reported.
In a statement signed by his
media aide, Ikechukwu Eze,
Jonathan emphatically denied
embarking on exile in his
recent trip outside the
country, disclosing that he
has no intention of turning
his back on Nigeria that he
diligently served to the best
of his abilities as President.
The statement reads, “We
maintain, as Jonathan has
himself stated, that he has
no intention of turning his
back on Nigeria; a homeland
he served diligently as
president to the best of his
abilities.
“It is instructive to note that
while the publication
continues to insist that
Jonathan did not come to
Nigeria from Cote d’Ivoire.
“The former president

America, the United Kingdom,

engagements and other

Please Jonathan should pick his areas of service to this contraption with utmost care, better still remain in the background and live his life as a private citizen. This present government is full of ungrateful backstabbers with demented supporters baying for his blood. Having failed to give due and deserved attention to the SS/SE during his stint as president, he will be better off working to ensure the best deals for these regions not short of confederation or outright dissolution.

He should not even attempt to be seen trying to ease the path of this lying and deceptive government that cannot even keep its stories straight about the health of the president. Working with them will certainly cause him to lower his guard and lull him into a false sense of security and suddenly he becomes the fall guy for all their ineptitude! They still burn inside that a lowly Bayelsa/Ijaw man dared to become President of their 'inheritance' according to their tall uthman fodio dreams.
