d 2nd stage is for her to get d money paid.:please how can she get a certified cheque,bankdraft or money order as required. in other words which bank in Nigeria offer such services for her to get the bank draft

Since the draft has to be issued in Canadian Dollars, you will need to find a bank that has direct relationship with Canadian bank. Some banks in Nigeria surely deals with US banks, but I doubt if any one of them has dealings with Canadian banks.

Are you summitting or yu have summited. If you have summited already through Ghana you need a bank draft in ghanian cedi, then you look for a nigeria bank that has branch in Ghana. But if you just was to summit, since you now summit through canada you need a canadian bank draft.

You were talking about the rate. . . You know that I am providing a "service" and should not be comparing "my service" with that of the Abokis . All that the Abokis will do is to first take Naira, and then give you Dollars, but I am going way beyond this.

Anyway, the rate I quoted is to cover my overheads for a transfer of about $200. I believe that you will be looking at something in the range of 1K to 1.5K, if that is correct, let me know the rate that is OK with you, and exact amount of the draft that you want. Kafin, you rate is not bad at all, considering how much most people are doing it these days, since canadian $$ is almost at par with US $$, and US $$ is going for almost 160 on nigerian street

BossBoss, A us bank draft is acceptable,, but dont try to calculate how much the amount will be in US dollars, if u need 75 canadian dollars, its better you buy 75USD. If u need help, call me on 07038540033

USD denominated drafts is not acceptable to the CiC, if the applicant goes ahead with a US Draft, it will be returned by CiC along with the application, and its back to square one. What you can advise the applicant to do is to get someone in the UK or US or Ghana to help out with the Canadian Drafts from their UK bank, and you can then give them the naira equivalent by creditting their naira account at home or whatever you agree on. If your friend applied under the C-50 FSW list of 38, only Canadian drafts is acceptable. It is CAD 550 for the APRF, and CAD 495 for the RPRF. Do not let anyone deceive or mislead you. What i am saying is what obtains as at today under the c-50 rules. Your friend will do well to visit the CiC site, there is a wealth of info on there from manuals to guides, to bulletins etc. See the link for the latest CiC guide for Permanent Residence Applications
