Avengers, other militant groups disagree on missile launch


There was discordant tunes within the militant groups operating in the Niger Delta region following a threat by some militants to launch six missiles in the region.

The militant group, Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), which had claimed responsibilities for ongoing onslaughts against oil installations, Saturday, disassociated itself from threats to launch missiles in the region.

It rather asked persons behind the threat to sheathe their swords and key into its motive of crippling the country’s oil production without bloodshed.

A consolidated group of militants under the aegis of Joint Niger Delta Liberation Force (JNDLF), which claimed NDA was its member, threatened to launch six missiles in the Niger Delta region.

Let me tell your likes something; NO SINGLE region in this country is united. So breaking up Nigeria will NOT in any way whatsoever solve the basic problems we have which is corruption and ethnic hatred.
Is it the Ishekiris and the Ijaws that will live peacefully in one country? Even in my state, Ibibios, annangs, and Oron don't like each other.
Anambrians hardly marry outside their LGAs sef. What of the Osu culture in the east, how will it be manged in Biafra?
The middlebeltans are also NOT united as they have countless community fights every now and then. The core North nko? How will the Christians fare there?
Then the most of all, is this. Is it not the same selfish, greedy, leaders that will still lead our separate countries?

These boys keep cloaking their nefarious activities in some inane altruism. Who doesn't know that the missile threat came after an all night Hollywood film?
I don't blame them though, fear is the first law in the law book of terrorism.

I am for dialogue with the boys, but they too must act like boys with listening ears.
