Whether you are a mother or yet to be one, you must have heard about the importance and benefits of breast feeding.
One of the most emphasised aspect of the act is the bonding session between mother and child.

So, would you let another woman nurse your child?
What if you stumble on your child minder? undecided in the crèche or day care? lipsrsealed

Let's discuss embarassed

I think several factors work against this notion. Firstly, when a woman gets pregnant, her breasts fill up gradually before child birth and remains so until the child is weaned. This breast milk is easier fed to the baby as using breast pump is quite painful. Secondly, the body hormones also work to repel the choice of wanting to relinquish the task of breast feeding your child. Finally, I doubt any society which one is embedded in will give any courage to do such.

BUT in case of intense sickness or adoption, there's little option left. And some ladies are so figure-sensitive that they might actually live with the negatives than breastfeed their kid.

It is not at all painful sir.

I'm currently pumping as I type this, I even pumped while breastfeeding a few hours ago.

To topic: I heard of a grandma putting baby to breast shocked
She is not even a nursing mum.

I don't know what I would do if I get anyone breastfeeding my child, but I am sure Buhari would hear of the matter.
Why would anyone breastfeed another's child, when we have infant formula. It doesn't connect at all...

On a lighter note, why all this pikin picture you use _ no get hair for head? grin
Only the last one get hair. Why?

I have seen cases where wet nursing was practiced among relatives and on a rare occasion on a stranger.

An aunt breastfeeding her nephew because her sister had a debilitating disease and a young grandmother of about 39years breastfeeding her grandchild so her daughter can go back to school.
A grandmother breastfeeding her grandchild dumped by her son's girlfriend.
This is the story of how a close relative nursed a baby stranger who is now their adopted son.
A newborn baby boy with a freshly severed cord was picked from a gully in a neighboring town by an uncle, the baby has ants all over his body and was almost half buried by the quick sand from the slight drizzle that may change to heavy downpour at any moment.
His weak cry was what draws my uncle's attention to him. He wrapped him in his shirt and head home.
Mind you, this was happening in a bush with a very active gully.
Luckily, uncle's wife had a baby 2weeks ago so while the villagers were cursing and condemning whoever did that, the baby was bathe and breastfed by his new mom.
We learnt later that the girl that gave birth to that baby was there witnessing the whole thing.
This happened more than 10 years ago.

I will never allow another woman breastfeed my baby especially when I don't know her HIV status. No way!
